Ice-skating rink opens at Neshaminy Mall

Flight On Ice has opened a pop-up outdoor “real” ice skating rink at the NeshaminyMall in Bensalem, bringing a season full of festive family fun now through Feb. 26, 2023.
Flight On Ice will donate a portion of the rink’s proceeds to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 SurvivorsFund.
“Working with great partners at the Neshaminy Mall has made it possible to bring our ice skating rinkexperience to Bucks County this season,” said Jon Schaffer, president of Flight Entertainment. “We arethrilled to bring a new family-friendly concept to the Neshaminy Mall and hope to make this a stapleattraction in the community for years to come, all while helping out a great cause that is near and dearto our hearts.”
This pop-up attraction transforms part of the mall’s outdoor parking lot into a winterwonderland and a safe community gathering spot for all age groups. Features include a full-size(60 foot by 100 foot) recreational outdoor skating rink, affordable skate rentals, free on-site parking, festive music,lighting and decor, a variety of food and beverages, heated hospitality tents.,lounge areas, next-level entertainment and a calendar of events with extended hours during theholidays.
There will be “Noon Year’s Eve” Skate Party at 11 a.m. Dec. 31, which includes a liveDJ, kids’ countdown at noon, characters on ice, a mocktail toast, party favors and more.Weekly events include a number of events and box-office specials, including Thank You Thursdayshonoring our Fraternal Order of Police and for all Bucks County residents with a buy-one-get-one half offskate special, and Skating Under the Stars on Fridays with a discount on two-packs — perfect for a couple’snight out or a dad-daughter skate. Sunday Family Fundays feature a special discounted four-pack ticketbundle, including complimentary offerings, activities and themes that will enhance your overall familyexperience.
“Building a safe environment for outdoor ice skating is expensive and not an easy task,” said DennisDeehan, general manager of Neshaminy Mall. “This project took months of hard work and planningfrom all parties involved to finally bring it to fruition, but we are super excited to have this winterattraction here in Bucks County for our community to enjoy.”
Flight On Ice at the Neshaminy Mall is located at 707 Neshaminy Mall outside of the AMC Movie Theater and the old Sears Automotive Center. The rink is running extended holiday hours, now open daily at 11 a.m. through Jan. 2, with the exception of Christmas Day.
After the holiday, the rink will run regular hours of operation 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4 to 10 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
Single general admission tickets to skate are $12 with $10 skate rentals plus taxes and fees throughJan. 2 for peak holiday hours, The regular fee is $10 and $8 for rentals for all other sessions. Although tickets andrentals are available at the box office, Flight On Ice recommends reserving your sessions online inadvance at FlightOnIce.com, especially during peak holiday hours to ensure getting on the ice in a timelymanner. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own skates to save on rental fees and skate sharpeningservices are provided at all locations.
Flight On Ice also offers a number of unique party packages perfect for birthday celebrations, special events, school fundraisers, class trips and corporate team building days.
