CHESTER — Flight Entertainment Group will present the inaugural Delco Winter Makers Market, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., President’s Day Weekend, Feb. 18- 19 at Harrah’s Philadelphia in Chester.
Event attendees can dine, shop, sip and skate all weekend long at the rain-or-shine indoor and outdoor street food and makers market showcasing Delaware County’s diverse entrepreneurial landscape and vibrant music, art and cultural scene.
The weekend-long event for all ages will transform the Delco River Rink and lower-level lobby of Harrah’s Philadelphia into a festive Winter Makers Market with over 30 local makers and food trucks.
There will also be complimentary ice-skating passes for children 12 and under, live entertainment and DJs, a kids zone mascots on ice, an exclusive casino offer for new card sign-ups, contests and giveaways. Although skating passes are free, there is a fee to rent skates, or participants are welcome to bring their own skates.
“We are thrilled to celebrate all things creatively Delco at the first of many Delco Winter Makers Markets,” said Jon Schaffer, lifelong Delaware County resident and president of Flight Entertainment. “This multiday event wouldn’t be possible without our incredible friends and collaborators at Harrah’s, Delco Nite Market, Delco Chamber of Commerce, and the Delaware County Council. We look forward to bringing the community together for a weekend filled with fun, shopping, skating, and entertainment, all supporting our amazing Delco-based businesses.”
Participating vendors include Flight Entertainment, Schaffer Sound, Be Good Buddy, Keyco, Yeureka Home Remodeling, BathKafe Soapery, Sophie’s Candle Shop, Twin Element, Hollan & Milan Organics LLC, Renewal by Anderson, Boutik Angelik Body LLC, Kid’s Kreate Art LLC, Confidently Me Boutique and Delco Balloon.
Food trucks will include Shugar Shack, The Frosting Lounge, East Coast Mini Donuts, Family Funnel Kake, Calaveras Street Taco, Rollin’ Phatties BBQ Smokeshack and Pound Cake Heaven.
While general admission is free, there are also limited VIP packages available for purchase, including a first-in-line shopping and skating hour from 11 a.m. to noon, two skating passes with rentals, good until Feb. 26, complimentary food truck vouchers, a mystery swag bag and entry into Tier 1 Makers Raffle for even bigger prizes.
